My name is Jessica, and I'm a freelance artist and illustrator specializing in portraiture.
I create artwork that is both realistic and illustrative using traditional media, such as colored pencil, watercolor, and gouache.

A little more about me.
I’m originally from Mexico, and I graduated with a BA degree in Foreign Languages from the Universidad de Oriente in 2010. After graduating from college, I became passionate about teaching English. And that’s what I did for the next few years before moving to the Netherlands in 2015.
Over the past years, I have continually adapted my path as a creative entrepreneur, and in 2020, I registered my illustration business and started accepting commissions.
In addition to my illustration work, I write a blog on personal development, time management, and art.
How I work.
I use a variety of media but draw primarily with colored pencils. After I have hand-drawn and painted the artwork, I digitize it and edit it in Photoshop.
I enjoy focusing on details and rendering realistic illustrations that can be used in editorials, such as spots or features. My illustrations typically feature a crisp white background, but I occasionally use colored backgrounds and incorporate other subjects into the composition.
I strive to meet all project deadlines and communicate clearly from the initial sketch to the finished piece. Whether the scope of your project is big or small, I’d love to hear about it!
